Beautiful documentary about a prison director who tried a radical different approach to changing the inmates in an Indian Prison. Making the prison in a place for personal development by using meditation, the director allowed prisoners to feel like human again and prepare them to return to society.

Copenhagen Climate Summit COP15

Tomorrow I will coordinate Theme speeddating on the Beat the Heat train through the Netherlands for Politicians and Entrepreneurs. I have tried to base the approach on Integral methodology and use innovative facilitation techniques. This all on a riding train. So, i am very curious what will happen.

After that I'll go to Copenhagen myself to be in the city of the Climate Summit.
I am looking forward to meeting many inspiring people and get some change done.

Fish Therapy

In complete alignment with my explorations of edgy ideas, I found Ikan (Fish) Therapi in Penang. As the sign states: as the water is of high temperature, there are no nutrients, that is why the fish will attack anything that enters the water. “Anything” here referring to your feet. For the interest of science, I decided to go in.

Imagine the worst tickling you have had * scariness of being touched by a fish + social self awareness of the fact that you just paid money to have fish bite you feet.

Gradually the soothing sound of a fake waterfall allowed me to relax into the experience and I actually started to enjoy myself. Not in the least for the fact that this was just plain weird. However, I must admit that after a long day of traveling, my feet felt absolutely great.

All in all, 15 ringgit well spend, if only for the story to your friends.

Simple proven method for making people smile and increasing your adventures, wherever you travel.
When traveling you have many very short interactions with foreign people. The basic greeting, asking “how are you” and saying “thank you”. You can significantly increase your enjoyment of traveling when learning these basics in the original language, instead of automatically switching to boring English.
